Job summary

Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine seeks a Licensed Veterinary Technician II to join the Critical Care Service at CUHA. You will support clinicians, house officers, and students in caring for critically ill patients in a fast-paced, 24/7 academic hospital, while promoting learning and collaboration.

The role emphasizes mentorship of students, coordination of procedures, and providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic teaching environment.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in veterinary technology or equivalent.
• New York State licensure or eligibility to be licensed in NYS.
• Robust clinical skillset for identifying patients in crisis and notifying clinicians.

Responsibilities

• Assist students and clinicians on the Critical Care Service with examinations and treatments.
• Schedule, organize, and assist with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Facilitate patient admission and discharge from care units.
• Mentor and teach students on rotation.
