Capital Health is seeking a patient care assistant to join our care team. The role involves assisting with direct and indirect patient care, phlebotomy, glucometer testing and EKG responsibilities, along with clerical duties and supply management.

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, EMT related experience or CNA preferred, and AHA BLS. 8-hour shifts, 36 hours weekly. Eligible for comprehensive benefits and an established pay range for a 1.0 FTE position.

Formación

• Education: High school diploma or equivalency.
• Experience: EMT or EMT Academy, military medic, PCA in acute care or equivalent, or two nursing school clinical semesters.
• Other credentials: AHA BLS. Non-Licensed must obtain before end of orientation.

Responsabilidades

• Provides for safety aspects of patient care and follows falls precautions.
• Provides personal care under the direction of the RN.
• Collects specimens such as stool, urine and sputum on a timely basis.
• Performs phlebotomy, glucometer testing and EKGs as required and at competency.
• Stock supplies, maintains clean environment, and records intake and output.
• Communicates observations to the RN and supports CPR when needed.
• Assists with basic nursing procedures and daily patient activities.
