Froedtert Health in Milwaukee on site is seeking a Critical Care Technician to support RNs in the ICU. The role involves assisting with basic nursing tasks, personal care, and restorative activities while maintaining patient safety.

Candidates should have a CNA background and complete required training within 6 months. State of Wisconsin CNA certification or enrollment in a nursing program is required, with BLS due within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Completion of the Critical Care Tech course or equivalent within 6 months of date of hire is required.
• State of Wisconsin Nursing Assistant Certification is required, otherwise must be enrolled in a nursing program with documentation of basic nursing course completion.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide delegated age-appropriate care in Critical Care Units under RN supervision.
• Assist patients with basic nursing, personal care, and restorative tasks.
• Maintain safety observations as required and communicate with nursing staff.
