Froedtert ThedaCare in Milwaukee is seeking a Critical Care Technician to assist in the intensive care units under RN supervision. You will provide delegated care, perform basic nursing tasks, and support safety and clinical procedures on night shifts in a fast-paced environment.

Required are Wisconsin CNA certification or active nursing program enrollment, completion of a CC Tech course within 6 months, and BLS eligibility within 90 days of hire.

Qualificações

• Completion of the Critical Care Tech course or equivalent within 6 months of date of hire.
• State of Wisconsin Nursing Assistant Certification required, otherwise must be currently enrolled in a nursing program with documentation from an accredited school for professional nurses indicating successful completion of the basic nursing course which encompasses all of the criteria noted by the State of Wisconsin administrative code and a minimum experience of one acute care medical/surgical clinical rotation.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.

Job Summary

The Critical Care Technician (CCT), under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse, provides delegated age appropriate care in a culturally and ethnically sensitive manner in the Critical Care Units. The CCT assists patients with the tasks outlined in their clinical competency assessment related to basic nursing skills, personal care skills, basic restorative services, and necessary critical care skills.. The CCT practices and performs what was taught during their CNA training and certification or learned during basic nursing courses at an accredited school for professional nurses. The CCT may be asked to provide continuous safety observation. This job reports to the Nurse Manager/Assistant Nurse Manager of the assigned Critical Care Unit and the RNs on duty on each assigned shift. Other duties as assigned.
