Job summary

CommonSpirit Health's St. Mary-Corwin in Pueblo, CO is seeking a Critical Care Tech to support RNs and physicians with direct and indirect patient care in a busy hospital setting.

You will perform tasks like IV insertion, wound care, and charting, collaborate with the care team, and ensure patient safety and respectful, person-centered care while documenting observations in the patient records.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• EMT/IV therapy certificates or equivalent (EMTA/EMTI/Paramedic).
• Preferred: 1 year healthcare experience in prehospital, ED or patient care.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with RN and Physician regarding patient/family observations to assist treatment.
• Performs IV insertion, wound care and other tasks as directed to provide quality care.
• Delivers person-centered care with empathy and collaborates with the care team.
• Documents tasks and observations accurately in patient records according to standards.
• Uses clinical strategies to ensure patient and staff safety.
• Collaborates with medicine, nursing and other professionals on plan of care.
