Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• Completion of Patient Care Technician training and active PCT certification required.
• AHA Basic Life Support certification required.
• CPCT-A certification is a listed requirement.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding, hygiene, mobility, transport) per standard precautions.
• Perform phlebotomy, vital signs, point-of-care testing, EKGs, Foley catheter care; document findings.
• Identify and communicate changes in patient status to RN; respond to changes safely.
• Reinforce patient and family education on care needs and safety.
