Job summary

ECMCC is seeking a Critical Care Technician for the day shift on-site. The role provides direct patient care in acute care settings under supervision and includes monitoring, basic nursing tasks, and assistance with activities of daily living.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent with one year of direct patient care experience, or nursing coursework; BLS certification within 60 days of appointment. Hourly wage range is $18.93 to $24.58.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; one year direct patient care experience preferred.
• 30 semester credit hours from nursing/related program acceptable.
• Completion of approved practical nursing program or certificate in medical assisting also acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic patient care tasks: feeding, bathing, grooming, linens, ambulation assistance.
• Obtains vital signs and reports changes to supervisor.
• Monitors fluid intake/output and records measurements.
• Performs simple treatments and dressing changes as directed.
• Assists with procedures: venipuncture, ECG, finger sticks, specimen collection.
• Assists in dressing, transfers, and positioning; uses transfer devices.
• Observes patient condition changes and communicates to team; responds to emergencies.
