Job summary

MetroHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Critical Care Step Down Unit 7 West at the MetroHealth Main Campus- Glick. Shift rotations include 7a-7p and 7p-7a with rotating weekends and holidays, and bi-weekly hours of 72.

The unit has 14 beds, with a focus on high-acuity cardiac and pulmonary patients. The ideal candidate will be a graduate of an accredited nursing program, hold an Ohio RN license, and maintain BLS; ACLS within 6 months, and prior RN experience for PRN applicants.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current RN license in the State of Ohio.
• Current BLS for healthcare providers certification (AHAS) or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• ACLS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire.
• PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience.
• PRN must possess all required certifications upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care on the Critical Care Step Down Unit (14 beds) and monitor patients' conditions.
• Collaborate with PCNAs, nurse interns, providers, PT and OT to plan care.
• Assist with bedside procedures and critical care interventions as needed.
