Job summary

MetroHealth Main Campus- Glick is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West) to deliver high-acuity patient care. The role focuses on patients with congestive heart failure, COPD, DKA and sepsis, with rotating weekends and holidays on a 12-hour shift schedule.

Applicants must hold an Ohio RN license and current BLS; ACLS within 6 months of hire. PRN requires 1 year of RN experience. MetroHealth provides industry-leading benefits and OPERS retirement.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire.
• PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience.
• PRN must possess all required certifications upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide care on the Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West) for patients with congestive heart failure, COPD, DKA, and sepsis.
• Perform and interpret EKGs; monitor patients using telemetry; manage lines and vents as needed.
• Collaborate with PCNAs, interns, providers, and physical/occupational therapy staff to coordinate patient care.
