Job summary

MetroHealth Main Campus- Glick is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West). You will care for patients with congestive heart failure, COPD, DKA and sepsis, delivering high-quality nurse-led care in a fast-paced environment.

The role features 12-hour shifts (7a-7p/7p-7a) with rotating weekends and holidays. Bi-weekly hours total 72, and the unit has 14 beds with strong teamwork across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current RN licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider or achieved within 90 days.
• Current ACLS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire.
• PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience.
• PRN must possess all required certifications upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care on the Critical Care Step Down Unit, 7 West.
• Perform EKG interpretation and monitor telemetry.
• Central line care and related procedures.
• Assist with bedside procedures (endoscopies, bronchoscopies).
• Manage rescue Bi-PAP, high flow oxygen, Trach/vents as needed.
• Collaborate with PCNAs, Nurse Interns, Providers, PT, and OT.
