Job summary

MetroHealth Main Campus- Glick is seeking an RN for the Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West). The role covers rotating shifts (7a-7p and 7p-7a) with rotating weekends and holidays, in a 14-bed unit, focusing on high-acuity care.

Candidates should have Ohio RN licensure, BLS, ACLS, and preferably a BSN. Experience in critical care tasks and bedside procedures is valued, along with strong critical thinking, delegation, and time management skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire.
• PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience.
• PRN must possess all required certifications upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in the Critical Care Step Down Unit, 7 West.
• Care for patients with congestive heart failure, COPD, DKA, and sepsis.
• Utilize EKG interpretation, central line care, and airway management.
• Collaborate with PCNAs, nurses, providers, and rehabilitation staff.
• Support with bedside procedures and advanced monitoring as needed.
