Job summary

Boston Medical Center (BMC) is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 5W Teaching & Innovation Unit. You will deliver exemplary care in the Critical Care setting within a supportive nursing organization, contributing to a mission-driven team.

You’ll work on innovation teams piloting new technologies and workflows, with opportunities for professional growth and leadership development across the Teaching Innovation Unit.

Qualifications

• Active MA RN license or ability to obtain one.
• 1+ year of RN experience preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required for some units.
• Nursing degree: Diploma/ASN/BSN preferred; BSN within 4 years.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care in the Critical Care unit, including assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation, and patient education.
• Communicate with health care team members, patients, and families.
• Coordinate and delegate patient care activities to interprofessional colleagues.
• Update and manage patient records.
• Enter and interpret computerized data/information.
• Follow guidelines established by BMC’s nursing organization.
• Assist leadership in quality improvement projects.
