Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital is seeking an experienced RN for the SICU/MICU to care for critically ill patients during nights. You will deliver direct nursing care, assess and plan, coordinate interdisciplinary care, and advocate for patients and families.

The role requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, current RN licensure, BLS, ACLS within one year, TCAR within 24 months, and ICU experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• BLS certification required on hire.
• ACLS certification required within one year of hire.
• TCAR certification within 24 months of hire.
• One year of ICU or acute care RN experience in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in SICU/MICU.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for ICU patients.
• Complete ongoing assessments and respond to changes in patient condition.
• Develop and update goals with patients and families.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary plan of care and advocate for patients.
• Document nursing care, treatments, medications and progress.
• Participate in quality improvement and discharge planning conferences.
