Job summary

AdventHealth Davenport in Florida is seeking a registered nurse to join our day-shift team. You will perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, administer medications, and monitor responses to treatments.

You will document care in the EMR, collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care, mentor nursing staff, and uphold infection control and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• RN license required in Florida.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS/ECG-related certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to gather data on health status and needs.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessment findings and medical diagnoses.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
• Monitor and evaluate patient responses to interventions, adjusting care plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Provide education and counseling to patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, medications, and self-care strategies.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
• Document patient care activities, including assessments, care plans, interventions, and outcomes, accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policies.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
• Supervise and mentor nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality care.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by adhering to infection control policies and safety protocols.
• Respond promptly to life‑threatening situations using established protocols and critical care skills.
