Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Registered Nurse at Jersey Shore University Medical Center to deliver compassionate, evidence-based patient care in a busy hospital setting. You will collaborate with the care team, perform medication administration with bar-scanning, document at the point of care, and contribute to safe discharges and family education.

NJ license required; BLS/CPR within 60 days; ACLS; minimum 2 years in adult critical care or ED; BSN in progress or willing to pursue

Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey nursing license required.
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association required within 60 days of hire.
• ACLS required.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent adult critical care or ED nursing experience required.
• 2 years of Cardiac cath lab/EP experience preferred.
• BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three (3) years of hire.
• Ability to learn quickly, strong accountability, teamwork, and commitment to high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of nursing practices per evidence-based standards to ensure safe and excellent patient care.
• Ongoing communication with patients, nursing colleagues, and health care team regarding status and plans.
• Medication administration with bar-scanning and documentation technologies.
• Point-of-care electronic documentation of assessments, plan of care, interventions, and evaluation.
• Patient and family-centered education to optimize health and disease management.
• Multidisciplinary discharging to ensure safe transitions and continuum of care.
