Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, preferred.
• Current License to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State required.
• 2+ years of PACU, ICU or ED RN experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conducts patient interview, explains policies and procedures to patient/significant others; assesses health status across GI, CV, respiratory, renal and neuro systems.
• Develops patient outcome statements and prioritizes care to achieve outcomes; coordinates supplies, meds and interventions while documenting plans of care.
• Documents treatment and patient responses; communicates with family and care team; participates in discharge planning and referrals.
