Job summary

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist in Winston-Salem, NC is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU). This 32-bed unit provides care for critically ill patients with a range of conditions, and the MICU team collaborates to deliver safe, high-quality care.

The RN will coordinate care using the nursing process, adhere to standards and policies, and work with a skilled team to ensure the best patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• ACLS are required within 6 months of hire.
• 1-2 years RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Using evidence‑based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
