Job summary

ChristianaCare’s Medical Intensive Care Unit is seeking a Registered Nurse for the MICU at Christiana Hospital. This full-time flex role (36 hrs/week) offers night shifts with day shift rotations, performing high-acuity care and rapid response interventions in a fast-paced environment.

You will collaborate with physicians and a multidisciplinary team, advocate for patients and families, and utilize advanced monitoring to improve outcomes while pursuing ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• BSN required
• ADN considered with BSN commitment within 3 years
• Minimum 1 year acute care experience required
• BLS required; ACLS preferred (must obtain within 6 months of hire)

Responsibilities

• Provide expert care for critically ill patients in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Partner with physicians, specialists, and a multidisciplinary team to deliver life-saving interventions
• Advocate for patients and families during their most vulnerable moments
• Use advanced monitoring and treatment strategies to achieve the best outcomes
