Job summary

UNC Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our ICU/PCU unit on the Johnston Health campus in Clayton, NC. The role focuses on delivering competent care to high-acuity patients and coordinating care with the nursing team.

Reporting to the Nurse Manager/Director, the RN will participate in ACLS, PALS, and core ICU training, with a focus on safety, education, and patient outcomes. Onsite, full-time duties with rotating shifts and a strong orientation program.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a school of professional nursing.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent clinical nursing care in an ICU/PCU setting.
• Coordinate and deliver patient care using the nursing process.
• Educate patients and families as part of the care plan.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and communication.
• Assist with procedures and monitoring of high-acuity patients.
• Maintain unit standards, safety, and infection control.
