Job summary

UVA Health is seeking registered nurses to join our Critical Care & Specialty Care Nursing Pipeline across diverse inpatient and procedural teams, including MICU, CCU, STICU, SIMU, NIMU, and more. You will work with physicians, APPs, pharmacists, and therapists in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

We value evidence-based practice, ongoing professional development, and opportunities to expand clinical expertise in a nationally recognized academic medical center with Magnet recognition.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• BSN required within 5 years of hire.
• 1 year of relevant nursing experience.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in Virginia.
• AHA Health Care Provider BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized patient care plans.
• Monitoring complex patient conditions and responding to changes in clinical status.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care across the continuum.
• Utilizing advanced technology and clinical resources to support high-quality outcomes.
• Educating patients and families while serving as a trusted advocate throughout the care journey.
• Participating in quality improvement initiatives, professional development activities, and shared decision-making processes.
