Job summary

UVA Health seeks an experienced Critical Care Float Pool RN to deliver advanced nursing care to critically ill adults across multiple ICUs. You will float between units, collaborating with intensivists and ICU teams to ensure high-quality, evidence-based care.

Ideal candidates have a BSN or equivalent, Virginia RN licensure, and 1 year of ICU experience. This role supports full-time or part-time schedules in a Magnet-recognized academic medical center in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Qualifications

• Education: BSN required within 5 years of hire.
• Experience: 1 year of relevant ICU experience.
• Licensure: Virginia RN license and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Deliver advanced nursing care to critically ill adult patients across ICU units.
• Float between adult ICUs based on patient needs and staffing.
• Collaborate with intensivists, fellows, residents, APPs, and ICU teams.
• Demonstrate strong assessment, clinical judgment, and prioritization.
