Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina seeks an Registered Nurse I to deliver individualized, goal-directed care using the nursing process at the beginner level. The role collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes while upholding privacy, safety and professional standards.

Qualified candidates will have SC or compact-state RN licensure, current BLS certification, and at least one year of RN experience; a BSN is preferred and enrollment in an accredited BSN

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred or enrolled in BSN program within two years
• Minimum of one year of work experience as a registered nurse required
• RN licensure in SC or a compact state; BLS certification required

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation).
• Direct and lead other team members and collaborate with multidisciplinary team to provide age-appropriate care.
• Maintain patient privacy and a safe, therapeutic environment with respectful, professional behavior.
• Participate in a professional practice model, shared governance, and ongoing professional development.
