Qualifications

• Associate Degree of Nursing is required.
• At least 1 year of RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide cost-effective, patient-focused care, collecting social, psychological, developmental and spiritual data.
• Performs ongoing assessment, formulates nursing diagnoses and goals, plans interventions, and evaluates outcomes.
• Documents in patient/unit records following health system standards to meet legal and quality requirements.
• Provides teaching to patients and families on Pain Management, Nutrition, Skin Integrity, Fall prevention, Diabetes, Disease Process, Smoking Cessation, and discharge instructions.
• Demonstrates commitment to hospital and nursing values through cost containment, confidentiality, ethics, and patient safety.
• Engages in research activities and collaborates with Outcomes managers and department.
