Job summary

Baptist Health Walker Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for a full-time position on the Intensive Care/Cardiac unit, working three 12-hour day shifts from 7a to 7p.

The RN provides highly skilled, continuous care for patients with advanced illness or injury, collaborates with physicians and the interdisciplinary team, operates complex ECMO-related equipment when indicated, and ensures patient safety and regulatory compliance on every shift.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Current Alabama RN license or valid eNLC multistate license.
• BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
• ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC are required for certain areas.
• 1 year experience required unless AVP level or above.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates critical knowledge, skills, and judgement to care for patients requiring complex assessment and therapies.
• Utilizes information and assessment data to respond to rapidly changing patient conditions.
• Monitors and adjusts ECMO-related equipment when indicated and ensures patient safety.
• Collaborates with medical staff and interdisciplinary team to plan and manage care.
• Documents patient care in a compliant, accurate manner and ensures regulatory standards.
