Job summary

Prime Healthcare Services' Riverview Regional Medical Center in Gadsden, AL seeks a Critical Care Unit Registered Nurse for day shifts on a Per Diem basis. The role requires ICU/CCU experience, acute care skills, and the ability to monitor and support patients on life-sustaining therapies.

The nurse will deliver high-level care, collaborate with physicians, and educate families while ensuring safety and compliance with hospital standards in a fast-paced CCU environment.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS certificate on hire and maintain current.
• ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Provide direct patient care within scope of practice.
• Direct patient/family teaching and supervise nursing staff while maintaining CCU standards.
• Be responsible and accountable for care of assigned patients.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to physicians, including hemodynamic data and diagnostic results.
• Respond quickly to changes in condition and maintain patient privacy.
