Job summary

Valley Medical Center & Clinics seeks a Registered Nurse for its CCU at the Renton, WA campus. The RN will provide safe, high‑quality care, leading a team during night shifts and using the nursing process as the basis for clinical practice.

Required: WA RN licensure, BSN preferred, and potentially residency or six months of RN experience; BLS certification is expected. The role covers critical care duties with strong emphasis on teamwork and patient safety.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred and current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington.
• Graduate nurse residency orientation or six months' RN experience.
• Current BLS certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Ability to communicate effectively and demonstrate leadership on the unit.

Responsibilities

• Leads and directs workflow on the unit; assigns staff based on patient acuity and needs.
• Mentors staff and integrates new personnel into unit culture and policies.
• Ensures safe patient care with accurate documentation and adherence to standards.
• Communicates with bed placement and clinical resources to expedite patient care.
