Job summary

MetroHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West) at the Main Campus. The role involves caring for high-acuity patients, interpreting EKGs, and assisting with bedside procedures in a 14-bed unit.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing or a program seeking accreditation.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire.
• PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience.
• PRN must possess all required certifications upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in the Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West) on a rotating shift.
• Interpret EKGs and monitor telemetry for higher-acuity patients.
• Perform bedside procedures and assist with endoscopies/bronchoscopy as needed.
• Collaborate with PCNAs, nurse interns, providers, PT/OT to coordinate care.
• Maintain clinical excellence and prioritize patient safety in a 14-bed unit.
