Job summary

MetroHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Critical Care Step Down Unit, 7 West, at MetroHealth Main Campus- Glick. The 14-bed unit handles CHF, COPD, DKA, and sepsis, with shifts 7a-7p/7p-7a and rotating weekends/holidays.

Bi-weekly hours total 72, with rotating weekends and holidays. Expect EKG interpretation, central line care, BiPAP rescue, high-flow oxygen, and bedside procedures. MetroHealth offers tuition reimbursement and strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current Ohio RN licensure.
• BLS certification current or within 90 days of hire.
• ACLS certification current or within 6 months of hire.
• PRN requires 1 year of RN experience.
• PRN must maintain all required certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide care on the Critical Care Step Down Unit with complex patients.
• Interpret EKGs, monitor patients, and respond to changes.
• Assist with bedside procedures and manage lines/airway devices.
• Collaborate with PCNAs, interns, providers and therapists.
