Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide patient-focused care in the Pineville Respiratory Therapy Services department. You will deliver oxygen therapy, operate ventilators, perform blood gas analyses, and document outcomes in the EMR according to policy and standards.

The role features 12-hour shifts on Fri-Sun, with weekend float coverage, and a competitive pay range of $30.70–$46.05 per hour plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA-approved school of Respiratory Care.
• Associate's RRT or RRT Equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Credentialed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
• Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in the state.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge in various modes and methods of oxygen delivery and the equipment needed for each.
• Administers therapeutic procedures and monitors effects.
• Performs diagnostic procedures as outlined in policy.
• Initiates and maintains mechanical/non-invasive ventilation.
• Evaluates therapies and recommends plans of care and patient education.
• Documents therapy and communicates with care team.
• Performs respiratory techniques in emergencies.
• Performs blood sampling analysis and interprets results.
• Works independently across patient care areas.
• Follows safety guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Completes annual proficiency evaluations.
