Job summary

Huntsville Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to support critical care, step-down, and general care areas within the Madison/Huntsville system. The role requires an ASBRT license, NBRC credential, CRT minimum, and RRT preferred.

PALS/ACLS/NRP must be completed within one year; BLS preferred for orientation. Responsibilities include ventilation support, EKG, bronchial hygiene, and oxygen therapy in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• HS/GED required. Licensure by ASBRT and NBRC credentialing required. CRT minimum; RRT preferred.
• PALS/ACLS preferred; mandatory within one year. BLS preferred for Hiral processes and mandatory after orientation.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in critical care, step-down and general care areas.
• Perform and assist with mechanical ventilation initiation and support.
• Conduct EKG, bronchial hygiene, oxygen therapy and diagnostic procedures.
• Adapt to fast-paced environment with prioritization and task switching.
• Weekend and/or holiday rotations may be required.
