Huntsville Memorial Hospital is hiring a Respiratory Therapist to provide cardiopulmonary care in the Cardiopulmonary Services Department. Under general supervision, you will administer therapies, perform EKGs/EEGs, document care, and assist with equipment maintenance and safety.

Qualifications include graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program, NBRC RRT preferred, and a current state license. BLS within 30 days, ACLS within 90 days, and PALS/NRP within 12 months are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a professional Respiratory Therapy program.
• NBRC RRT credential preferred.
• Current State of Texas Respiratory Care Practitioner license required.
• Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of employment.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days of employment.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support and NRP within 12 months of hire.

Responsabilités

• Administers therapeutic modalities including aerosol therapy, IPPB, oxygen therapy and mechanical ventilation.
• Competent in performing EKGs and EEGs.
• Performs Holter monitoring, EKG stress testing, and pulmonary function testing.
• Maintains documentation of patient care in respiratory therapy records.
• Performs preventive maintenance on department equipment and ensures infection control protocols.
