Job summary

AdventHealth Lake Wales seeks a qualified Respiratory Therapist to perform airway management, deliver inhaled therapies, and support critical care patients in a 24-hour hospital setting. You will document care, respond to Code Blues, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires active RRT credentials, ACLS/BLS, and experience in ventilation management and ABG procedures. Join a faith-based health system committed to whole-person care.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science.
• Active RRT credential and NBRC credentials are required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs airway maintenance including intubation and tracheostomy care.
• Delivers inhaled medications and manages inhaled gas therapies.
• Documents and charges procedures accurately in EMR.
• Responds to Code Blue and provides CPR per AHA guidelines.
• Interprets diagnostic data and monitors patient responses.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary team to set goals and plan care.
• Maintains infection control and safety per hospital policy.
• Provides respiratory care for patients on invasive and non-invasive ventilation.
• Manages hemodynamic procedures as needed and facilitates patient transport.
