Job summary

AdventHealth in Celebration, Florida is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to support the care of neonatal to geriatric patients. The role requires delivering respiratory therapies, monitoring vents, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.

Eligible applicants may have a Florida license as RRT, BLS, NRP, and prefer 1+ year of critical care experience. The position offers a day shift, full-time schedule, and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required.
• Field of study: Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science.
• 1+ year of critical care experience preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required.
• State Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Certification (NRP) required.

Responsibilities

• Documents and charges procedures accurately and completely.
• Demonstrates collaboration to assist with patient flow.
• Follows safety regulations and hospital policies; discusses treatment plans with the care team.
• Responds to Code Blue with CPR per AHA guidelines.
• Delivers respiratory therapies and recommends delivery methods per protocol.
• Analyzes arterial blood gases and co-oximetry; performs quality controls.
• Maintains airway devices and operates ventilators per policy.
• Assesses patients and works with team to optimize therapy efficiency.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
