Job summary

HiredFirst seeks a Respiratory Therapist in Gainesville, FL to deliver and manage respiratory therapies and equipment, including ABG interpretation, in a busy acute care setting.

You will collaborate with physicians and the care team, perform patient assessments, and ensure safe, effective treatment while maintaining documentation and patient education. Nights with rotating weekends, competitive compensation, and comprehensive credentialing requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of RRT experience in critical care settings or similar.
• Active Florida Respiratory License and NBRC credential (RRT/CRT).
• Current BLS; ability to obtain ACLS/NRP/PALS within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, set up, and maintain routine and non-routine respiratory therapies and equipment per physician orders.
• Perform and interpret ABGs and monitor patient responses to therapies.
• Communicate with physicians and staff; conduct patient assessments and reassessments.
• Recognize and report suspected abuse or neglect as part of patient care responsibilities.
