Job summary

El Paso Children's Hospital in El Paso, TX is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13-week, full-time night shift temporary assignment. The ideal candidate will provide critical care support across ICU units, performing assessments, ventilatory support, airway management and blood gas analysis.

The role requires NBRC-registered credentials, Texas license, and certifications in ACLS, PALS, NRP, and STABLE within 9 months of hire, with BLS required; NPS within 2 years.

Qualifications

• Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
• Current Texas Medical Board Respiratory Care License.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP, and STABLE certifications obtained within 9 months in position.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Neonatal/Pediatric Specialty (NPS) certification within 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Assess, treat, manage and monitor patients with pulmonary deficiencies across age groups.
• Provide ventilatory support, airway management and related therapies.
• Perform arterial puncture and blood gas analysis and routine respiratory procedures.
• Contribute to quality care through performance improvement activities.
• Operate independently with minimal supervision in critical care units.
