Job summary

Temecula Valley Hospital (TVH) is hiring a Respiratory Therapist to perform routine and critical respiratory and cardiology procedures. You will support physicians and clinical staff as a technical and clinical resource in a busy hospital setting.

The role requires CA Respiratory Care Practitioner certification, NBRC CRT/RRT credentials, and active BLS with NRP/ACLS/PALS within 90 days of hire. Responsibilities include ABG testing, oxygen therapy, NIV/IPPB support, and CPR as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an AMA/CoARC approved program to train respiratory care practitioners.
• Associate degree in Respiratory Care preferred.
• Certification by the State of California as a Respiratory Care Practitioner required.
• Active NBRC CRT credential required.
• NBRC RRT credential required.
• Current BLS (AHA) required.
• NRP certification within 90 days of hire.
• ACLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• PALS certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Quality Controls and Maintenance with ABG machines.
• Billing complete and reflected on the billing record by end of shift.
• Oxygen rounds completed and Oxygen charges posted.
• Perform Arterial Blood Gas testing per policy.
• IPPB therapy, Medicated Nebulizer/MDI therapy, Oxygen therapy, Chest-Physio Therapy.
• CPR including chest compressions, manual ventilation and airway care.

Education

AMA/CoARC approved program to train respiratory care practitioners

Associate degree in Respiratory Care (preferred)

California Respiratory Care Practitioner certification
