Job summary

Mercyhealth seeks a qualified Respiratory Therapist to provide critical care, ventilator management, and comprehensive patient assessments in a full-time capacity. You will work day shifts in a hospital setting, supporting both adult and pediatric patients as assigned, with on-site responsibility in Wisconsin.

The role requires licensure in IL/WI, CPR/NRP, and a strong foundation in cardiopulmonary therapies, documentation, and patient education.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
• RRT/CRT credentials with WI/IL licensure required or eligible.
• CPR certification required; NRP within 90 days of orientation.
• Strong math and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Initiate, monitor, evaluate, and wean invasive and non-invasive ventilation.
• Assess patients clinically before and after therapies and adjust treatment.
• Document care and maintain patient EMR and department records.
• Operate and troubleshoot mechanical ventilators and related devices.
• Respond to emergent care and assist with resuscitation per guidelines.
