Qualifications
National Board of Respiratory Care RRT credential.
Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) - Illinois Department of Professional Regulation License.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Pediatric Advanced Cardiac Life Support (PALS) certification.
Responsibilities
Assess, manage, treat, and perform diagnostic procedures for patients requiring respiratory therapy.
Implement and evaluate plans of care related to respiratory procedures.
Provide care for patients requiring ventilator assistance and monitor cardiopulmonary status.
Complete documentation for patient charting in compliance with standards.
