Qualifications

• National Board of Respiratory Care RRT credential.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) - Illinois Department of Professional Regulation License.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Pediatric Advanced Cardiac Life Support (PALS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess, manage, treat, and perform diagnostic procedures for patients requiring respiratory therapy.
• Implement and evaluate plans of care related to respiratory procedures.
• Provide care for patients requiring ventilator assistance and monitor cardiopulmonary status.
• Complete documentation for patient charting in compliance with standards.
