Qualifications

• 1+ years critical care experience (required)
• 3+ years Respiratory Care experience (required)
• State Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license required
• Active NBRC Credentialed RRT required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR required
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) required

Responsibilities

• Provides respiratory care to patients, including aerosolized medication, oxygen therapy, and ventilation.
• Draws, analyzes, and reports blood gas results; responds to rapid response and code blue situations; CPR as needed.
• Manages invasive and non-invasive ventilators and documents changes.
• Assists with bedside bronchoscopy and manages non-invasive Bi-level and end-tidal CO2 capnography.
• Performs respiratory therapy treatments per physician orders and department protocols.
• Participates in interdisciplinary rounds and provides input to impact length of stay and readmission rates.
• Assists with clinical instruction and serves as a resource for lower-level therapists.
