Job summary

Norwalk Hospital seeks an experienced RN to join the Nursing Rapid Response Team, delivering critical care across the unit and supporting codes, rapid responses, and stroke response. Provides education and collaborates with care teams to uphold standards of practice and patient safety.

Requires CT RN license, ACLS, BLS-HCP, NIHSS, CPI, IV certification, and TNCC/PALS within 1 year. Minimum three years in a critical care setting is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing is required.
• CT RN license is required.
• ACLS and BLS-HCP certifications are required.
• NIHSS, CPI, IV certification and related credentials are expected.
• PALS/TNCC within 1 year is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides critical care support to the nursing staff across hospital units.
• Responds to cardiac arrest, trauma, stroke alerts and rapid responses as a team member.
• Transports critically ill patients to procedures and supports transfer to critical care areas.
• Educates staff and supports patient care interventions per unit standards.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality outcomes.
