Job summary

Infirmary Health seeks a Rapid Response RN to coordinate patient care from admission through discharge, operating under Rapid Response Team guidelines.

The role requires independent judgement across a range of patient issues and provides house-wide support for assessments, Code Blue events, sepsis codes, and staff needs. Alabama RN licensure and CCRN within 1 year are required.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing required.
• Alabama RN license and multistate license required (NLC).
• CCRN certification within 12 months of placement.

Job description

Responsibilities

The Rapid Response RN collaborates with appropriate disciplines to coordinate continuity of patient care from admission through discharge in support of the medical and nursing plans of care. This individual makes independent judgement/decisions and takes action regarding a wide range of routine and complex patient issues, operating under guidelines of the Rapid Response Team. The Rapid Response RN provides house wide support for assessments, Code Blue events, sepsis codes, and a variety of staff needs.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing


• Minimum of 3 years to 5 years of experience as a Critical Care Registered Nurse


• Well-developed verbal and written communication skills


• Excellent critical thinking skills

Licensure, Registration, Certification:

BLS/ACLS

• Current Alabama RN license


• Current Multi State RN License in accordance with Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) for Alabama*


• CCRN certification within 1 year of placement into position
