Job summary

MetroHealth Main Campus—Glick is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West). The role involves caring for patients with conditions like CHF, COPD, DKA, and Sepsis, with responsibilities including EKG interpretation, central line care, and bedside procedures.

Collaboration with PCNAs, interns, providers, PT, and OT is essential. Rotating shifts 7a-7p and 7p-7a with rotating weekends/holidays; unit has 14 beds.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (or a program seeking accreditation).
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Current BLS for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire.
• PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience.
• PRN must possess all required certifications upon hire.
• BSN preferred.
• Professional Certification recognized by Magnet Association (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care on the Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West).
• Assist with bedside procedures and interventions.
• Collaborate with PCNAs, Nurse Interns, Providers, PT and OT.
• Utilize EKG interpretation and advanced monitoring in patient care.
• Support patient safety and critical thinking in fast-paced shifts.
