Job summary

Lexington Health in Columbia, SC is seeking a Nurse Tech for the SICU/CVICU to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse. The role supports nutrition, mobility, hygiene, and daily living activities while ensuring patient safety and comfort in a high-acuity unit.

The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, 1 year of nurse tech experience or equivalent substitution, and BLS within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• 1 year of experience as a nurse tech is preferred.
• BLS certification required within first 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Participates in patient care activities as directed by a licensed nurse.
• Documents patient information and observations in the electronic medical record.
• Maintains a safe and clean patient environment and assists with daily living tasks.
• Supports patient transport, nutrition services, and mobility as needed.
• Communicates changes in patient condition to the nurse in charge and follows unit procedures.
