Job summary

Albany Med Health System is hiring a Clinical Nurse II for the Critical Care Float Pool on a Per Diem, Part-Time basis at 43 New Scotland Avenue, Albany, NY 12208. The nurse applies physician orders, administers medications, starts IVs, performs treatments, and documents care in accordance with policy and regulations.

You will assess patient needs, collaborate with the nursing team to Plan of Care, provide primary and emergency care for injuries, and ensure quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a professional nursing program selected for RN licensure.
• Current NYS Registered Nurse license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Implements physician orders, administers medications, starts IVs and documents care.
• Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions.
• Collaborates with nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients.
• Provides primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
