Job summary

Albany Med Health System seeks a Registered Nurse for the Critical Care Float Pool to provide compassionate care in a high-acuity environment in Albany, NY. You will administer medications, start IVs, and implement physician orders while documenting treatments and ensuring safety and quality standards.

The role requires at least 1–3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care, a NYS RN license, and BLS/ACLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a professional nursing program (Diploma/ADN/BSN).
• Must hold NYS Registered Nurse license.

Responsibilities

• Administers medications and therapies per physician orders.
• Implements orders, starts IVs, and documents treatments.
• Orders and evaluates diagnostic tests to guide patient care.
• Provides primary and emergency care for occupational/non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
• Collaborates with the nursing team to plan care and directs ancillary staff.
• Maintains professional standards and HIPAA compliance.
