Job summary

The Medical College of Wisconsin’s Division of Pulmonary/Critical Care seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide specialty medical care within the Medical Intensive Care Unit at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee, WI.

The APP works with a multidisciplinary team to contribute to patient care, safety, research, and education, including daily rounds with the Attending Intensivist and collaboration across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Preferred inpatient, acute care, and critical care PA/NP or RN experience.
• Minimum education: Advanced Practice Nurse — Master’s Degree; Physician Assistant — Bachelor’s Degree.
• Certification/licensing: WI RN license, WI APRN prescriber license, ACLS, BLS, DEA; NP certification if NP; PA license; NCCPA.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialty medical care in the MICU as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Participate in daily rounds with Attending Intensivist; present 24-hour patient reports.
• Collaborate with pulmonary/critical care faculty and other services to manage critically ill patients.
• Support program administration, patient safety, quality improvement, research, and teaching.
