Job summary

Endeavor Health in Elmhurst, IL is seeking a Patient Care Technician - Critical Care (PCCU) to join our night shift team. You will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to provide care, comfort and safety to patients.

Requirements include CPR certification (AHA BLS) and completion of an accredited nursing assistant program or one nursing clinical rotation. The position is full-time, 36 hours per week, with 7pm–7:30am shifts, every third weekend and rotating holidays.

Qualifications

• CPR certification issued by the American Heart Association BLS.
• Successful completion of an accredited nursing assistant training course or one nursing clinical rotation.
• Completion of the care Companion Course within six months of hire if required by the department.
• Excellent interpersonal skills including teamwork and the ability to prioritize and follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care tasks and procedures under the direction of an RN to support patient comfort and safety.
• Provide care, comfort and safety to patients in the PCCU environment.
• Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure high-quality patient care and safety.
