Job summary

AMN Healthcare is seeking a Critical Care Medicine Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for locum tenens coverage in Pennsylvania. The role focuses on inpatient cardiac ICU cases, with 8-12 patients per shift and 30 beds.

Schedule includes 3 shifts per week, 13 hours per shift, with 7:00 AM-7:00 PM or 7:00 PM-8:00 AM, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Credentialing takes 60-90 days; Cerner is used for EMR; board-certified CC APP required.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications required; critical care certification preferred.
• Board-certified Critical Care Advanced Practice Provider; PA licensure in PA.
• Credentialing timeframe 60-90 days.

Responsibilities

• Daily rounding and patient management in the Cardiac ICU.
• Admissions, postoperative care and procedures.
• Manage 8-12 patients per shift across a 30-bed unit.

This facility is seeking a Critical Care/ICU Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant(NP) for locum tenens support as they look to fill a current need.

Details & requirements for this opportunity:

Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 13 hours per shift. Shifts are either 7:00 AM-8:00 PM or 7:00 PM-8:00 AM. Includes nights, weekends, and holidays. Coverage through March 31, 2027.

Practice Setting: Inpatient, Cardiac Intensive Care Unit

Types of Cases: Critical care cardiac patients, including ventricular assist devices, venoarterial and venovenous extracorporeal membrane oxygenation, Impella, and cardiac transplant patients. Daily rounding, patient management, admissions, postoperative care, and procedures.

Patient Load: 8-12 patients per shift; 30 beds in the department.

Credentialing Timeframe: 60-90 days

Electronic Medical Record: Cerner

Certifications Required: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, Basic Life Support; Board Certified Critical Care Advanced Practice Provider required

Licensure Required: Pennsylvania only
