Job summary

Ohio State University University Hospital – Rhodes Hall is seeking a Lead Medical Technologist for the Critical Care Laboratory. You will direct daily Chemistry operations, validate tests, and report results in collaboration with a co-lead.

The role requires MT/MLS with 3 years of experience or MLT with 5 years, strong leadership, and proficiency in Westgard rules, plus communication and scheduling duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Science in Medical Laboratory Technology with ASCP/AMT, MLT Board Certification or with additional experience.
• MT/MLS with 3 years’ experience or MLT with 5 years clinical laboratory experience.
• Strong communication, leadership and problem-solving skills; Westgard rules knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily operations of the Chemistry department and lead with a co-lead.
• Validate routine and specialty testing methods and report results.
• Manage scheduling, training, evaluations, and record keeping; interact with hospital leadership.
