Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health seeks a highly dedicated Registered Nurse for our Critical Care Float Pool at the New Brunswick campus. The role requires ASN or Nursing Diploma, 1 year of CCU experience, NJ RN license, BLS/ACLS, and a night shift schedule of 7p–7:30a across a 36-hour week.

BSN is preferred and CCRN is an asset. Nurses work across trauma, neurology, cardiology, orthopedics and oncology in a Magnet-designated environment.

Qualifications

  • ASN or Nursing Diploma required
  • At least 1 year of Critical Care RN experience
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Proficient computer skills
  • BSN preferred; must be completed within 5 years upon hire
  • At least 2–3 years of Critical Care RN experience
  • CCRN (preferred)
  • Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License
  • BLS and ACLS certification
  • NIHSS

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care within the scope of practice and maintain standards of care.
  • Ensure safety and apply evidence-based practices and ethical standards.
  • Report safety issues and participate in quality improvement.
  • Supervise and delegate tasks to team members and collaborate with care providers.
  • Set and evaluate priorities with measurable outcomes and manage patient care plans.
